Winter decor & my SUGAR tip!

Christmas comes down at my house the day after Christmas because I get excited to decorate for Winter. We go straight from Fall and Thanksgiving decor to Christmas. So January through March-ish I like to decorate for Winter. You can see how my living room was decorated for Winter last year HERE
This year I thought I’d share some of my winter touches to my dining room. I love to decorate with whites, creams, silver, black and some natural elements for my winter decor (as you can see from my winter living room). So it’s no surprise to see those same colors and feel in my dining room. Here’s how I decorated the buffet.
One fun tip I have learned from the ladies in my neighborhood is that SUGAR makes a GREAT filler! It’s inexpensive, it has a shimmer to it and it’s white which goes with…well….everything!

I love to have a variety of clear containers for all sorts of occasions. For Winter, I have filled the bottoms of these 2 vases with sugar and added some sticks and branches to them (that natural element I love!).
(yes that is a saw and yes that I did cut the branches over my dining room table)
To this vase I added some decor balls…
I love that it sort of looks like snow.
I added some candles and these clear bubbles that sort of look like ice.
EASY ways to change up your decor this winter and make an impact in a small area!

How do you decorate for winter? If you try any of these tips, let me know! I love to see your spin on my ideas!
