Well there's one way to just break into a topic! Yup - I'm a blogger......and I'm a Mormon. That may or may not be news to you. Maybe you've wondered but never asked, maybe it was just obvious to you or maybe you never gave it any thought at all! :)
There has been a lot of talk this year about Mormons with the upcoming election. There's been everyone's take on the good, the bad and the ugly - However the media or individuals want to portray it. I've been a member my whole life and it's a huge part of who I am today, how I live, conduct myself and raise my family.
In an effort to stand true to who we are and shed some light on the positive side of the LDS church, Mariel of Or so she says gathered a group of Mormon women bloggers together to share why they are Mormon.
There are 32 ladies who jumped to be part of it and have shared their testimony or feelings and Mariel put them all together in a packet. Maybe you know some of these ladies or already read their blogs too!
Here's who participated:
Would you like to receive a free copy of the packet? Are in genuinely interested in finding out what makes "us" tick? Why we have chosen to live this religion, or you've just had your curiosity peeked enough and you're thinking "why not! might be a fun read."....?

Here’s how it works:
If you are interested in learning more about why many of your favorite bloggers are Mormon, send me an email with your name and mailing address to :
info (at) brassyapple (dot) com (please put -Packet request- in the subject line) and I will personally send it to you! (I will ship internationally too)
What will you get?:
A small booklet of the thoughts and personal feelings from the 30 wonderful women bloggers listed above plus a free copy of the Book of Mormon. Why the Book of Mormon too? Well it's sort of hard to really get to know us without that too! It's another testament of Jesus Christ and goes hand in hand with the Bible. (psst! don't worry! I won't share your information with anyone. If those boys in white shirts/ties come knocking on your door....well there must have been some divine inspiration there!)
Do you know Nie Nie? She is a blogger and a Mormon too. She shares her story and a bit of how the role of religion plays into her daily life in this wonderful short video:
I hope you will email me if you have felt any inkling to do so - info (at) brassyapple (dot) com
**updated! Straight from my mouth. See my and other bloggers interviewed about this.**

DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I have often wondered, not about you personally, but, a good many of the bloggers I follow are Mormon, each creative and artsy. I talked with Katie from Vintage Rose Wraps when I was working in her wholesale booth at the Atlanta gift show and she said Mormons are resourceful and create what they need and come from a background of doers, among many other wonderful things.
Thank you for sharing!

Looking at your picture, I could tell you were either LDS, or were at least religious. And, yes, I am also. (I'm a new reader of your blog.)
